Director's Message

Welcome to McCall Parks & Recreation where it is our goal to promote active, healthy lifestyles while enhancing the quality of life for youths and adults through recreation programs and our parks and facilities. The McCall Recreation Department provides a fun, safe, positive, learning experience for the community, surrounding area and visitors of McCall.

Our goal continues to be to provide quality programs and keep your parks in the best possible condition for your enjoyment. I am sure you have noticed the redevelopment of Legacy Park and Art Roberts Park. The success of these projects can be attributed to McCall Urban Renewal Agency, McCall Improvement Committee and the McCall Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.  The countless hours they dedicated to these projects are evident in the final product. Our parks are beautifully maintained by Monica Trapp, Parks Supervisor and her staff.  We are always open to suggestions to help improve your parks.  Please feel free to contact any of the staff with your suggestions or concerns. City parks include:

Art Roberts Park  ·  Bike Paths & Trails  ·  Brown Park  ·  Davis Beach
Fairway Park  ·  Fish Pen Docks  ·  Harshman Skate Park  ·  Historical Museum
Legacy Park  ·  Rotary Park  ·  Veteran's Memorial at Community Park

We also jointly maintain the M/D High School tennis courts with the M/D School District

The City of McCall offers park reservations on a first come first serve basis. A brochure explaining the terms and conditions for renting a city park is available on our web site or at City Hall.

Check out our winter programs. Our Nordic program is a partnership with the University of Idaho McCall Outdoor Science School and Ponderosa State Park. There are many other activities offered by us as well as other providers in McCall. Check out the McCall Public Library and the McCall Arts and Humanities web sites for additional programs.  We hope you participate, have fun and enjoy the sun. Kurt Wolf or Recreation Supervisor is always open to program suggestions.
