Mission Statement

The McCall Recreation Department provides a fun, safe, positive, learning experience for the community, surrounding area and visitors of McCall. Our department runs and oversees approximately 30 programs a year with a focus on providing a variety of activities for all ages, skill level or income.

Director's Message

Welcome to McCall Parks & Recreation where it is our goal to enhance the quality of life for youths and adults through recreation programs and our parks and facilities. The McCall Recreation Department provides a fun, safe, positive, learning experience for the community, surrounding area and visitors of McCall.

This website will be updated and kept current; it is our hope that it will become a conduit of information for all of the recreation opportunities in the McCall area. We will also be developing a newsletter that will also describe the recreational activities including adult programming in our area. If you have any suggestions for new programs or any activities you would like to develop with us please contact myself or Kurt Wolf, Recreation Supervisor.

Our immediate goals include implementing on-line registration for recreation programs, improving the website, developing an activity book for the winter, developing new recreation programs for children and adults, completing the holiday light display, maintain pathways for use in the winter, planning for new pathways and engaging our community in planning for the future of parks and recreation in McCall.

I am sure you have noticed the redevelopment of Legacy Park and Art Roberts Park. The success of these projects can be attributed to McCall Urban Renewal Agency, McCall Improvement Committee and the McCall Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. The countless hours they dedicated to these projects are evident in the final product. Our parks are beautifully maintained by Monica Trapp, Parks Supervisor and her staff. We are always open to suggestions to help improve your parks.
